WHY I LOVE THE MULTIVERSE (2)

En mi anterior post contaba mi admiración por las novelas de Michael Moorcock y cómo en una de las historias cortas inéditas que recopilé en el Integral de Los Reyes Elfos, titulada "La Ecuación Lamaraya" intentaba enlazar mis obras con un concepto llamado Los Trece Planos. Otro de mis temas favoritos son las largas sagas familiares mezcladas con conceptos mitológicos como la reencarnación, una idea aparecidas en las películas de Los Inmortales, la serie Carnivale, las novelas de Von Beck de Michael Moorcock o la serie de animación Avatar: The Last Airbender.
El tema central de Los Reyes Elfos es cómo los actos de los padres repercuten en sus hijos. Expandí esa idea creando dos líneas de sangre llamadas los Einheri y los Urizen, planteando esto: Los actos de algunos personajes tienen un efecto en los personajes (sus equivalentes) de otras obras. Sí, pierdo un montón de tiempo pensando en cosas raras, ¿eh?

 In my previous post I tell my admiration of Michael Moorcock´s novels  and how I tried to link my books with a concept called The Thirteen Planes in one of my unpublished short stories compiled in the Elf Kings Omnibus, titled "The Lamaraya Equation". Other of my favourite concepts is the long family sagas mixed by mithological concepts like reencarnation, an idea appeared in Highlander movies, Carnivale series, Michael Moorcok´s Von Beck novels o the Avatar: The Last Airbender animation series.
The main theme of the Elf Kings books is how the acts of the parents have an effected on their sons. I expand this theme creating two blood lines called the Einheris and the Urizens, bringing up this idea: The acts of some characters have an effect on the characters (their eqquals) of other works. Yes, I spend a lot of time thinking on weird things, huh?

 THE THIRTEEN PLANES: A THEORY ABOUT SHARED UNIVERSES

Michael Moorcock es mi escritor favorito de fantasía/ciencia ficción, y seguramente su concepto más fascinante es como sus novelas están integradas en un mismo universo. Un universo de universos, el Multiverso. Desde que empecé a escribir comics tuve esa idea enquistada en mi mente: todo estaba conectado.
Pero había escrito un montón de historias diferentes: fantasía, género negro, histórica e incluso extraños pastiches... ¿Cómo integrar esas obras? en una de las historias cortas inéditas que recopilé en el Integral de Los Reyes Elfos, titulada "La Ecuación Lamaraya" intentaba enlazar mis obras con un concepto llamado Los Trece Planos. Fue algo muy divertido de escribir y dibujar, y esbocé un esquema explicando como mi ficción funciona dentro de mi cabeza.

 Michael Moorcock is my fantasy/scify writer, and surely his most fascinating concept is how their novels are integrated in the same universe. A universe of universes: the Multiverse. Since I began to write comic-books I had that idea fit in my mind: All is connected.
But I had written a lot of different stories: fantasy, noir, historical, even weird pastiches... How to unite those work? In one of my unpublished short stories compiled in the Elf Kings Omnibus, titled "The Lamaraya Equation", I tried to link my books with a concept called The Thirteen Planes. It was something really fun to write and draw and I sketched a diagram esplaining how my fiction works inside my head.
