A veces no escribo un guión y prefiero escribirlo dibujándolo. 
Sometimes I don´t write a script and I prefer to write drawing it.

En mi anterior post contaba mi admiración por las novelas de Michael Moorcock y cómo en una de las historias cortas inéditas que recopilé en el Integral de Los Reyes Elfos, titulada "La Ecuación Lamaraya" intentaba enlazar mis obras con un concepto llamado Los Trece Planos. Otro de mis temas favoritos son las largas sagas familiares mezcladas con conceptos mitológicos como la reencarnación, una idea aparecidas en las películas de Los Inmortales, la serie Carnivale, las novelas de Von Beck de Michael Moorcock o la serie de animación Avatar: The Last Airbender.
El tema central de Los Reyes Elfos es cómo los actos de los padres repercuten en sus hijos. Expandí esa idea creando dos líneas de sangre llamadas los Einheri y los Urizen, planteando esto: Los actos de algunos personajes tienen un efecto en los personajes (sus equivalentes) de otras obras. Sí, pierdo un montón de tiempo pensando en cosas raras, ¿eh?

 In my previous post I tell my admiration of Michael Moorcock´s novels  and how I tried to link my books with a concept called The Thirteen Planes in one of my unpublished short stories compiled in the Elf Kings Omnibus, titled "The Lamaraya Equation". Other of my favourite concepts is the long family sagas mixed by mithological concepts like reencarnation, an idea appeared in Highlander movies, Carnivale series, Michael Moorcok´s Von Beck novels o the Avatar: The Last Airbender animation series.
The main theme of the Elf Kings books is how the acts of the parents have an effected on their sons. I expand this theme creating two blood lines called the Einheris and the Urizens, bringing up this idea: The acts of some characters have an effect on the characters (their eqquals) of other works. Yes, I spend a lot of time thinking on weird things, huh?

 THE THIRTEEN PLANES: A THEORY ABOUT SHARED UNIVERSES

Michael Moorcock es mi escritor favorito de fantasía/ciencia ficción, y seguramente su concepto más fascinante es como sus novelas están integradas en un mismo universo. Un universo de universos, el Multiverso. Desde que empecé a escribir comics tuve esa idea enquistada en mi mente: todo estaba conectado.
Pero había escrito un montón de historias diferentes: fantasía, género negro, histórica e incluso extraños pastiches... ¿Cómo integrar esas obras? en una de las historias cortas inéditas que recopilé en el Integral de Los Reyes Elfos, titulada "La Ecuación Lamaraya" intentaba enlazar mis obras con un concepto llamado Los Trece Planos. Fue algo muy divertido de escribir y dibujar, y esbocé un esquema explicando como mi ficción funciona dentro de mi cabeza.

 Michael Moorcock is my fantasy/scify writer, and surely his most fascinating concept is how their novels are integrated in the same universe. A universe of universes: the Multiverse. Since I began to write comic-books I had that idea fit in my mind: All is connected.
But I had written a lot of different stories: fantasy, noir, historical, even weird pastiches... How to unite those work? In one of my unpublished short stories compiled in the Elf Kings Omnibus, titled "The Lamaraya Equation", I tried to link my books with a concept called The Thirteen Planes. It was something really fun to write and draw and I sketched a diagram esplaining how my fiction works inside my head.

Estoy acabando mi cuarto número de Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters (el número 8 de la serie escrita por Eric Powell y Tracy Marsh) y estoy trabajando en el número 7 de Mice Templar vol.3. Una historia corta de ocho páginas escrita por Dara Naraghi (Witch & Wizard) será publicada este septiembre en el número 4 de la revista Dark Horse presenta.

ESPAÑA

-Los guiones que he acabado continúan en el proceso de dibujo. Silhouette 2: Arcángeles Oscuros por Jesús Alonso Iglesias, Ezequiel Himes: Zombie Hunter por Alberto Hernández, La Parca por Rafa Vargas, Ragnarök por Pere Pérez y Los Reyes Elfos: Jurgen Ulf por Sergio Córdoba.
-Estoy escribiendo nuevas historias para artistas como Vicente Vegas (una historia de fantasía realmente oscura), Naiel Ibarrola (género negro en un estilo muy The Wire) y Joan Fuster (superhéroes pulp).
-Al mismo tiempo quiero ganar tiempo para dibujar comis para España, incluyendo un guión de Pere Pérez y mis propias historias.

-At the sime time I want to get time to draw comics for Spain, including a script by Pere Pérez and my own stories.

Otro de los proyectos en los que estoy trabajando como guionista es Ezequiel Himes: Zombie Hunter, con el arte de Alberto Hernández. Una historia de zombies con elementos de géneros como el western y el negro. Zonanegativa ha publicado un avance con las nueve primeras páginas.

Other of the projects I´m working as writer is Ezequiel Himes: Zombie Hunter, with the art of Alberto Hernández. A zombie tale with elements of other genres like western and noir. Zonanegativa has published a preview with the first nine pages.

He realizado la portada del spin-off de Los reyes Elfos: Glirenn, ilustrado por Vicente Cifentes. Y ésta es la contraportada de Vicente y coloreada por mí. El libro será editado a finales de noviembre.
I made the cover for the Los reyes Elfos (The elven kings) spin-off Glirenn, drawn by Vicente Cifentes. And this is the back cover made by Vicente and colored by me. The book will be launched at the end of November.

Un vistazo rápido a los últimos guiones que he acabado. El próximo mayo aparecerá en España (y después, en Francia e Italia) la sangre de las Valkirias, un album ilustrado por Pere Pérez sobre las guerras entre los vikingos paganos y los hombres del norte conversos.
A quick look at last scripts I´ve finished. Next May will appear in Spain (and after, in France & Italy) La sangre de las Valkirias (The blood of the Valkyries), an album illustrated by Pere Pérez about wars between pagan vikings and converted northmen.

Y mientras tanto, el universo de Los Reyes Elfos se expande con dos spin-off. El primero, una historia de Glirenn, la Emperatriz del Hielo, ilustrada por Vicente Cifuentes.

Ciencia-Ficción, Michael Moorcock y Warren Ellis juntos en una historia de agencias secretas gubernamentales que controlan el mundo de las coincidencias.

At the end of this month, in the El manglar magazine it will be published Agencia de la Simultaneidad (Simoltaneoussness Agency) a short story written by me and with art by Juan Berrio. Sci-Fi, Michael Moorcock and Warren Ellis together in a story of government secret agencies controling the world of the coincidences.
